Youth Apprenticeship 

CESA 5's Youth Apprenticeship (YA) consortium facilitates the Department of Workforce Development's YA program.  This program combines a minimum of 450 paid hours of work experience with at least two semesters of related instruction for high school juniors and seniors in a specific career pathway. Advisory Committee input is critical to ensuring a district offers rigorous, relevant and industry-based programming.  Most districts meet with their advisory committees one - two times per academic year.  If you are not currently participating with your district's CTE advisory committee, contact your local high school to get involved.
